The original rye kvass of live fermentation is prepared according to old recipes recorded by Vyatka monks in the 12th-13th centuries.
For the preparation of Vyatka kvass, malt from the world-famous Vyatka rye is used. From time immemorial, kvass saved Russians from a lack of vitamins in winter, and quenched their thirst and added strength during the summer harvest.
